DTF designs
We create custom DTF (direct to film) designs as print-ready transparent PNG files for T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, tank tops, hats and tote bags. Every file is built at full size and 300 DPI, with soft edges and fades converted to clean halftone dots so the transfer presses sharp and does not leave cloudy film edges.
Our DTF designs are print-ready DTF PNG files at 300 DPI with clean transparent edges. Each direct to film design is checked for semi-transparent pixels, thin lines and colour, so your DTF transfers press cleanly on any fabric.

What makes a DTF file print-ready
- Transparent background — anything not transparent gets printed, including white boxes
- 300 DPI at the actual print size
- No semi-transparent pixels: glows, shadows and fades become halftone dots, because partly transparent areas print as a weak, cloudy film
- Lines and text thick enough to hold — very thin strokes can lift after washing
- Colour checked against the garment — DTF prints a white underbase, so colours stay bright on dark fabric

DTF PNG and DTF transfer files
A DTF ready PNG needs a fully transparent background, with no soft glows or faint shadows that print as a grey haze. We clean every edge, convert fades to halftones, and make sure lines are thick enough to stay on the film. Transparent DTF PNGs, high resolution DTF designs and print ready DTF files are supplied at the exact print size.

Glitter-effect and colourful DTF designs are prepared so the effect prints as artwork rather than a blur.

Common questions
Can DTF go on cotton and dark shirts?
Yes. DTF works on cotton, polyester and blends, light or dark, which is why it has replaced sublimation for many cotton orders.
Can you fix my file that printed with a box around it?
Yes. That is usually leftover semi-transparent pixels. We clean the background and rebuild soft edges as halftones.
Do you sell ready-made DTF bundles?
A library of ready-made designs is on its way. Right now every design is made to order.
What is the difference between DTF and sublimation artwork?
DTF prints onto film with white ink, so it works on cotton and dark fabrics. Sublimation dyes polyester and needs a light background. The artwork is prepared differently for each.
Can you put my DTF designs onto a gang sheet?
Yes. We can lay out your designs as a DTF gang sheet at your printer’s size.
