DTF Gang Sheet Layout

DTF gang sheets

A DTF gang sheet is one print file with many designs packed onto it. We build print-ready gang sheets from your designs — every size you need, packed tightly with safe cutting gaps — so you get more transfers out of every sheet you buy.

A DTF gang sheet packs many designs onto one print so you pay for less film. We build DTF gang sheet files and DTF gang sheet designs at your printer’s exact size, with tight nesting and safe cutting gaps.

Why a well-built gang sheet saves money

DTF printers usually charge by sheet length, and the most common roll width is 22 inches. Every gap you leave is film you pay for and throw away. A good layout nests designs closely, rotates pieces to fill space, and keeps just enough gap between them to cut cleanly with scissors.

What we check on every sheet

  • Exact width and length your printer accepts
  • Each design at the right print size for the garment
  • Even cutting gaps between designs
  • Every design on a transparent background, with no stray pixels
  • 300 DPI throughout, with fades converted to halftones
  • Small designs grouped together for faster cutting

Typical uses

  • Mixed-size orders — youth, adult and oversized versions on one sheet
  • Front, back and sleeve prints for the same shirt
  • Left chest logos and hat logos in bulk
  • Team names and numbers
  • Small business and Etsy shops printing several designs at once

DTF gang sheet files, ready for your printer

Every DTF printer has its own sheet widths and length limits, and its own rules on DPI and file size. We build each gang sheet to those rules and supply a single print-ready PNG, so you can upload it straight to your printer’s gang sheet builder or order form. Custom gang sheet artwork can mix your own designs with new ones we create.

How we lay out a gang sheet

We start with the largest designs, then nest smaller pieces such as left chest logos, sleeve prints and hat designs into the gaps. Pieces are rotated where it saves space, and similar items are grouped so they are quicker to cut and sort. Each design keeps its correct print size, and we add small labels or size marks outside the print area if you ask for them.

Gang sheet builder graphics and bulk orders

If you prefer to use your printer’s gang sheet builder yourself, we supply each design as a separate, correctly sized transparent PNG. For bulk T-shirt orders with names and numbers, we prepare one file per name, ready to drop into the builder.

  • Mixed adult, youth and toddler sizes on one sheet
  • Front, back, sleeve and neck prints for one order
  • Team names and numbers in bulk
  • Repeat sheets saved for future reorders

Common questions

Which gang sheet sizes do you work with?

Any size your printer offers. Send us their template or the width and length.

Can you design the artwork too?

Yes. See custom DTF designs. We can design and lay out in one order.

Do you print DTF transfers?

We prepare the files. Your printer prints and ships the transfers.

What file format do DTF printers need for a gang sheet?

Almost always a transparent PNG at 300 DPI at the full sheet size. Some printers also accept PDF.

Can you fix designs that print with a grey halo?

Yes. A grey halo usually comes from semi-transparent pixels, and we clean them before the design goes on the sheet.
