Custom hoodies

Custom hoodies

A hoodie carries more weight than a polo, in both senses. The fabric is heavy enough to take a substantial patch without pulling, and the front panel is big enough that the decision is no longer where the logo fits but how much presence you want it to have.

Patched or printed

Two routes, and they suit different artwork. A stitched-on patch gives a heavier, more premium result and lets you carry detail the fleece itself could never hold — it is the route for anything with a border, a shield or fine lettering. A printed logo is flatter and cheaper per unit, and it is the only sensible option when the artwork is photographic or runs to a long colour list.

Common questions

Can I have a patch on the chest and a print on the back?

Yes, and it is a common combination — the patch carries the mark people see close up, the print carries the big statement. Both are proofed together before anything runs.

How big should a full-front design be?

10 to 12 inches wide on an adult hoodie, centred and sitting above the pocket. Going wider starts to wrap round the side seam and distorts when worn.

Will an iron-on patch hold on fleece?

Not reliably. Fleece has too much loft and often too much synthetic content for adhesive to bond well. On a hoodie, sew it on.
