Name patch sizes and how they are priced
Patches are priced on the average of height and width, so a 4 × 1 in name tape is priced as a 2.5 inch patch. Common sizes:

Making a name patch readable
- Keep embroidered letters at least 5 mm tall; below that, choose woven, which holds letters down to about 2 mm.
- Pick a bold, simple font. Thin script and serif fonts fill in when stitched small.
- Contrast matters more than colour choice: dark thread on light fabric or light on dark.
- A merrowed border suits rectangles and ovals; a hot-cut edge suits name tapes that sit flat on a panel.

Honest limits: thread is matched as closely as thread allows, so a small shift against a printed Pantone chip is normal, and very fine detail is flagged on the proof before you approve it.

How much do custom name patches cost?
From $0.75 each for embroidered at volume. A 4 × 1 in embroidered name tape is $3.45 each for 50 and $0.90 each for 1,000.
Can I get Velcro name patches?
Yes. Any name patch can have a hook backing, at the same price as sew-on, so names swap between jackets, bags and plate carriers.
What size is a standard name patch?
Work-shirt name patches are usually about 3 × 2 inches. Name tapes are usually 4 or 5 inches long and 1 inch tall.
What is the minimum order?
